Folded, it measures 16.1 in and slides into a backpack pocket or overhead bin. Extended, it reaches a full 62 in working height on five-section twist-lock legs. The hydraulic fluid head is the core difference from a typical travel tripod: it gives you controlled, damped pan and tilt for light video work, instead of the jerky, all-or-nothing lock of a ball head. When a full tripod footprint is too slow or too big -- hiking, a concert, a fast-moving subject -- detach one leg and the same unit becomes a 61 in monopod. The included quick-release plate uses a standard Arca-Swiss-style dovetail, so swapping the camera on and off takes seconds. Arca-Swiss is a widely used format but not a single regulated standard, so please check your existing plate or L-bracket's width and safety-pin clearance before relying on it, and note this tripod is not sold as RC2/501-compatible. Rated up to 11 lb with the fluid head attached, this tripod is sized for a mirrorless body plus a standard zoom lens -- for example a Sony A7 V, Canon EOS R5 II, Nikon Z5 II or Z8, or a Fujifilm X-S20. It is not intended for long telephoto lenses, cinema cameras, or bowl-leveling heads; if that is your kit, a heavier-duty tripod will serve you better.
